- Fit Types
The right suit should work for your shape and your style. Broad shoulders? Try a single-breasted jacket with a slight taper. Slim build? Go for structured shoulders and narrow lapels to add presence. Taller guys look best in two-button jackets; shorter men should choose a higher button stance and classic length to add height. Choose darker colors for a slimming effect, lighter ones if you want to stand out. Thin stripes lengthen, bold checks add width. Go for a fit that follows your natural lines—nothing too tight, nothing baggy. And when in doubt, keep accessories simple and the details clean.
